
Life skills training offers assistance and training to individuals requiring guidance to enhance their involvement in their homes and communities in one or more areas of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs):
Daily living tasks – Enhance activity routines to boost independence in daily and weekly activities.
Medication management – Develop a system for organizing, administering, and overseeing medication prescriptions and refills.
Home management – Help organize the home to create a system for handling all household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, organization and home maintenance.
Meal preparation – Offer training in planning menus, shopping for groceries, preparing meals, accessing food choices and ensuring strategies are put into place to remember to eat.
Money management – Provide training in real life consumer transactions, budgeting, and paying bills.
Community involvement - Explore volunteer opportunities, increase socialization opportunities and identify community-based resources and activities.
Health and Wellness – Help with incorporating meditation, exercise, and healthy lifestyle choices, including scheduling and attending doctor's appointments.
