How do I make an appointment?

​What are your fees?

​​​​Cognitive Concepts NJ offers an initial phone consultation to discuss fees, which vary based on the services provided and whether they are in-person or via telehealth.   Please note insurance plans are not accepted, therefore all services will be arranged as a private pay agreement. Additionally,  Cognitive Concepts NJ is proud to be a provider for the Traumatic Brain Injury Fund of New Jersey.

How to I make payments?

Payments can be made securely through the client portal using a credit card;

cash and check are also accepted. Invoices will be generated following each session,

and your prompt payment is appreciated.

What is your new client procedure?

After your complimentary 15-minute telehealth consultation, an in person evaluation will be conducted to determine the most suitable service option for you. This process includes identifying your goals and how Cognitive Concepts NJ can best support your needs. You will have the opportunity to complete paperless documents in advance through our patient portal, or Renée can assist you with this during the evaluation. Additionally, you will be informed if there is a waitlist during consultation.

How long is a typical session?

Sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Typically, a session

is scheduled at least once a week and lasts between 2 to 3 hours,

ensuring ample time for meaningful engagement and progress.

Where do sessions take place?

Renée is dedicated to providing personalized service by traveling to your home

for in-person sessions, ensuring convenience and comfort.  Telehealth sessions are also offered and will be discussed in advance.  Whether it’s working together in your community or through telehealth services to achieve your goals, Renée is committed to ensuring your success.

How can I be sure my records are safe?

Cognitive Concepts NJ uilizes a secure, HIPAA-compliant private practice

management software. This platform ensures that all progress notes, reporting, billing,

payments, and scheduling are handled with the highest level of security and

confidentiality, fully adhering to HIPAA standards. Your privacy and trust is a top

priority while striving to provide excellent care.​​

How are appointments confirmed and what happens if I need to cancel?

Clients will receive a courtesy text message or email the day before your scheduled appointment.

Please note that any sessions canceled within 24 hours of the

appointment will incur a billing charge.
