Some individuals may frequently experience isolation
and loneliness during any recovery or after receiving a new diagnosis. Companion care focuses on things done “for” the individual, to remove
the burden of daily responsibilities that they need to do.
Companion care focuses on participating in
leisure activities, social interaction, or
simply being a listener and offering companionship
to share stories with. It is frequently utilized as a
means of respite for families who provide
most of the care for their loved one.
Companion care can be beneficial if you
or your loved one faces isolation or is experiencing
a decrease in activity levels.
